Stonewashed
Grief is tedious work,
not drama,
just dull
droning laundry cycles.
No sooner is one
load done than another
piles up.
Still,
the fabric benefits
from repeated washing.
Excess dye is flushed.
Scratch gives way
to smooth becoming
as comfortable as skin.
